GENERAL:
- You
maintain the copyright to your article.
- Articles
for publication should be written in American
English, 200 words or more in length and should be
of interest to the general public or individuals
interested in specific topics covered on Everybody
Writes.
- The
article must be in good taste. Everybody
Writes reserves the right to determine what
is "in good taste". Everybody
Writes and its editors reserve the right to
refuse any information for publication. Personal
attacks, hate, bigotry, religious, ethnic and racial
intolerance will not be accepted.
- Articles
cannot be an advertisement for you or your business.
They must contain valuable content that web users
would want to use for their personal enjoyment,
education or professional publications.
- You
will receive a byline under the title of your
article and a resource box that may include a link
to your e-mail address at the end of your article.
- The
articles you submit may be enjoyed by any member of Everybody
Writes, as long as they follow the rules.
Articles may only be used for reprint with
prior permission from the author.
Everybody
Writes does not guarantee that your articles will be
published for pay.
We simply provide a vehicle to help advertise
your work to potential publishers and the public
membership.
- The
author must approve requests for use of their
articles in traditional print magazines, newspapers,
newsletters and other media.
We will put an e-mail link on all articles so
the requester can contact you directly unless you
note otherwise. All members may use your articles as
long as they adhere to the terms and conditions we
set.
- Everybody
Writes will not make any corrections to your
article. It is your responsibility to ensure
spelling, grammar and punctuation are correct. We
will do minor corrections and layout only.
- You
agree that no compensation shall be provided for the
use of your article in
our publicly viewed area
other than the self-promotion for you in
your article as long as the member adheres to terms
of use for this website. Everybody
Writes will do everything it can to ensure
this but we cannot guarantee all visitors will
follow the rules. Should Everybody
Writes find a copy of your article, that
obviously came from our site,
on any other site or used improperly, we will
request that the offender remove the article
immediately. We will notify you so that you may
pursue the matter if they do not remove your
article.
- Everybody
Writes will make your article available on
our servers with a yearly membership fee of as
spelled out in our fees scale. Your article will
remain on Everybody
Writes as long as you allow it. Should you
decide that you do not want to be a contributing
editor at any time just login to your member account
and remove the article from your profile. If you
membership expires, or if it should be terminated,
then you will have 30 days to remove your content
from the Everybody
Writes website.
If you do not remove your article(s), then
they will remain in the Everybody Writes publicly
viewed section only until
such date that Everybody Writes wishes to remove
them.
- We
will list the pages of
Everybody Writes with the major search
engines, but do not guarantee placement or that your
article will get listed.
- You
may promote your article on
Everybody Writes using any acceptable
marketing method on or off line. (Unsolicited E-mail
is not an acceptable marketing method and your
article(s) will be removed from Everybody
Writes if you use this method.
- Members
finding such articles that they feel are
inappropriate in any way are encouraged to contact
Everybody Writes via E-mail for our editor's
review. These
articles may be removed under our discretions at any
time and the offending author might be removed as a
member with no reimbursement of membership fees.
Any articles found with illegal or dangerous
content will be forwarded to the appropriate agency
with the authors name and contact information.
PUBLISHERS
& WRITERS:
The Publishers
Only Section is, as the name implies, a place
where professional publishers can sign in and read
articles that have been submitted by Premier
Members.
Professional
Publishers will have a chance to view articles placed in
this section for a period of sixty days. If interested, the publisher may purchase an article from the
author for what ever their normal fee might be. They are required to pay a minimum of $25 for an article
purchased and all monies go directly to the Author. Everybody Writes, Inc. receives no money for articles sold
and it is up to the Author to remove the article from
the website after it has been sold.
The author of the story has the right to refuse
any offer and may take the story out of Everybody Writes
database at any time.
If the article or story has not been removed
within sixty days of it appearing in the Publishers
Only Section it will automatically be placed in
the Public Viewing Section
for all members to enjoy.
We at
Everybody Writes, Inc. realize that this being a new
site means that it may take some time for publishers to
look here for articles.
We believe that as the database grows and the
quality of the articles increase, several publishers
will take advantage of this great resource.
For our initial start up Everybody Writes, Inc.
will be leaving articles placed in the Publishers
Only Section through January of 2006 until April
of 2006 or until the author wishes to place them into
the Public Viewing Section.
It must
be clearly understood that Everybody Writes, Inc. does
not function as a broker in any way.
Our Roll is to simply give the Do-it-yourself
writer an avenue to have their articles seen by people
seeking information or stories.
There is no guarantee that a Publisher will view
your article when on this site.
It is your responsibility to negotiate with a
prospective buyer and establish a payment method with
that buyer. Once
a story is purchased it is up to the author to make sure
that story was used in an appropriate manor.
If you have a bad experience with a publisher we
encourage you to notify Everybody Writes, Inc. so we
have a chance to investigate.
We believe that the professional publishers who
use our site are honest hard working people but as in
any business you should always be cautious.
As a Premier
Member we hope that you enjoy using the services

This is the writer's site and we encourage your
suggestions to make this the one and only site where
Writers and Readers come together.
